Deployment Test Lead - UK Primary Function:

The UK Deployment Test Lead will be responsible for working on and driving forward numerous high value large scale projects. The organisation is undergoing a long term global financial change programme which includes a complete redesign of all finance systems and processes across the General Insurance Operating Segment. This transformation program includes the implementation of a new finance suite based on SAP technology. The functional areas in scope the Deployment Test Lead will be focusing on include General Ledger & Consolidation, Insurance Technical Accounting, Collections & Disbursements and Reinsurance.

The Deployment Test Lead will manage and co-ordinate the day to day testing of the developed application. Deploying resources and time effectively will be required to meet the company's quality control requirements and to ensure the identification, implementation and recording of relevant tests directing and working alongside the deployment team testing various system and data remediation requirements will be a key aspect of being the Deployment Test Lead. The Deployment Test Lead will need to monitor the team is meeting entry and exit criteria across the testing life cycle as well as ensuring resources are correctly allocated and that proposed changes in the program scope and schedule are communicated with the program leadership.

Skills & Knowledge Required:

  • Previous large-scale test management experience; SAP (or other ERP) test management experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of testing approaches and methodology
  • Hands on experience with HP Quality Center usage for test case creation, linkage to requirements, test execution, logging defects, and reporting
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risks and issues
  • Strong communication skills to effectively develop relationships with business users, IT leadership and vendors
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to make timely decisions
  • Ability to provide detailed guidance on testing to project team members during test preparation and execution
  • Excellent time management skills and multi-tasking capabilities
  • Knowledge of GI-FT business process design and technical environment
  • Understands the company change leadership methods and standards.
